point-of-sale System Enhances FSA Benefit Cards
In order to help streamline the approval process for eligible purchases made with a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) benefit card, the Internal Revenue Service authorized a point-of-sale approval system for FSA-eligible purchases.
This system, which is implemented at the check out by merchants who sell FSA-eligible merchandise, is called the Inventory Information Approval System, or IIAS. Learn more about this from our FSA Announcements page.
Savers also provides an updated list of IIAS participating merchants. |
